Why I Keep Showing Up To Markets
Share
When people see a market booth, they usually see the finished display, the products, the decorations, and the vendor.
What they don’t see are all the time and energy spent into making the booth ready! The cutting, the sewing, loading and unloading the car, waking up at 5 AM and the hours spent setting up and breaking down the booth,
This photo was taken during a recent market, and it perfectly captures how I felt in that moment: grateful.
My business Auntie Bee’s Market started as a hobby and has slowly grown into something much bigger. Every market teaches me something new—what customers love, which products catch people’s attention, how to improve for the next event, and how to connect to the community.
Some markets are busy. Some are slower than expected. But every single one helps me grow as a maker and small business owner.
One of my favorite parts is meeting people who appreciate handmade items. There’s something special about watching someone pick up a product, smile, and decide to take it home, or picturing who they want to gift it to.
As I continue this journey, I’m learning that success isn’t just measured in sales. It’s measured in progress, confidence, new skills, and the connections made along the way.
Thank you to everyone who has stopped by my booth, followed along online, shared a post, or supported my small business. Every bit of encouragement means more than you know.
I’m excited to see where this journey takes Auntie Bee’s Market next. 💜🐝
